ANNOUNCING AAI/HBOC BUSINESS PARTNER RELATIONSHIP

Arrendale Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that a Business Partner Relationship with HBOC (now McKessonHBOC) became effective July 1997.  AAI’s Document Management and Transcription Product, Transcript Advantage (TAź) will now be marketed by HBOC to Series 2000 customers with other affiliated product offerings.  Currently TAź is installed in over 50 HBOC Series hospitals.  TAź interfaces with Series 2000 products including: Records Management, Radiology Management, Physician View and Order Communications.  TAź is a truly unique product for Series customers because TAź features are accessed from Series menus.  One of the more significant outcomes of this announcement is that the parties have agreed to jointly develop an interface between TAź and Series Chart Completion/Deficiency.  Both companies are excited about the benefits their mutual customers will gain from the synergism of their products.

HBOC Series Vice President, Thomas Aikens says, “Our relationship with Arrendale Associates fits in with the Series development path because their products already integrate with us at the program level.  As such, we have the ability to provide our customers with additional features that can further automate the clerical requirements of document management and ease their transition into the Electronic Medical Record.”  Delbert Arrendale of AAI concludes, “Transcript Advantage provides Series 2000 customers true integration of transcription with Series’ Records Management.  This is especially significant because chart completion and deficiency are clerically burdensome and TAź integration requires no interface engines or limiting standards which enforce rigid interface rules.”
