DVR^Ì dictation delivers physicians the mobility to dictate during patient rounds in group practice settings and other locations.  DVR^Ì software, one of Arrendale’s several dictation solutions, enables physicians to dictate at their convenience with small hand-held digital voice recorders (DVRs).  These units hold several hours of dictation and come in a variety of models.   DVR units are later docked at a PC, with DVR^Ì software sending the encrypted voice files to a TA^Ì server.  Physicians appreciate the freedom of movement and having several compatible DVR brands.  DVR dictation can also be useful as a backup system in hospital settings when the main digital dictation system is unavailable.
