The TA+ system is a client/server based suite of applications.
Client applications include the following: Transcribe+, Listen+ Recorder+ Pro, DVR+ and TA+ (Browser Based).
Server applications include the following: Oracle, Tomcat and the Arrendale Proprietary Applications: TA+, Apollo, Athena, Atlas, Mercury, Pegasus, Poseidon, Venus, Zeus
For Transcribe+, if the Client is located at a remote location, such as a user's home, then the connectivity mechanism needs to support at least 512 Kbps from the server to the client. This bandwidth can be achieved with the following:
- DSL and Cable recommended by AAI. Satellite can work but can be slow.
- Basic rate ISDN circuit will function, but the performance will not be acceptable for most users.
Note: If listening to audio in TA+, Windows Media Player 9 or higher is required.
