AAI Account Manager Mary Marciniak wishes to remind both in-house and at-home transcriptionists to backup their T.A.Speed files to disk as well as the server as a part of their normal routine. With productivity so important to transcriptionists, time spent needlessly re-entering acronyms due to the file corruption that sometimes occurs unexpectedly can be frustrating. As taught in TAŽ training classes, the AAI Account Manager staff recommends that T.A.Speed files be backed up weekly or more often to avoid this disruption. Since T.A.Speed files are unique to each transcriptionist, allowing each MT to create their own acronyms and replacement text, backups need to be done on an individual basis.
